Tiger Con is an anime, gaming, cosplay and comic convention which will be held in Valdosta, Georgia on the weekend of July 24-25, 2021. This is our third year hosting the convention. Although we have partnered with the Anime & Manga Club @ VSU, we trace our origins to the Moody Comics and Anime Club on Moody Air Force Base. Moody AFB is the home of the Flying Tigers, and while our convention is not officially connected with the Air Force, we have selected the name Tiger Con to reflect our origins as a base club. Along those same lines, our mascot Tora was designed to evoke the idea of a flying tiger. She has tiger ears, paws and tail, along with a pair of tiger colored wings. For our second year we had approximately 550 attendees! Up 150 from last year! For that reason, we have moved to the Rainwater Convention Center! It’s a much larger venue and we can fit more programming, shopping, and best of all, it’s all indoors! This convention is always very friendly to military and first responders, who receive a significant discount on ticket prices. Keep checking back for updates. FAN EXPO Dallas is the largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming event in Texas, quickly growing into one of the largest events in North America. It is packed with exciting family-friendly activities and celebrity guests! The pop culture extravaganza is host to tens of thousands of fans at the Dallas Convention Center for the three-day event every Spring.

Capricon is a four-day science fiction convention held annually in the Chicagoland area since 1981. We celebrate the best of science fiction and fantasy, with a focus on literature. We are part of the world-wide fannish community, where diversity is encouraged and all are welcome. During the day, members attend programming on a variety of topics: books, movies, television, anime, space exploration, and science. There’s something for everyone including a special children’s track for our young fans and a teen lounge. Visit the dealer’s room, see the art show and attend the auction, get into gaming, filk, or party all night long! Above all, Capricon is about friends, fandom, and fun. The convention committee is made up entirely of volunteers. We encourage all our members to volunteer some of their time at the convention to make it all happen. Long Beach Comic Expo is an annual event held at the Long Beach Convention Center each spring. It's a celebration of comic books and pop culture that showcases the exceptional works of talented writers, artists, illustrators and creators of all types of pop culture. At Long Beach Comic Expo, you'll find exhibitors promoting and selling all types of related products, as well as entertaining and educational programs, guest signings, and meet & greet sessions with celebrities. FAN EXPO Vancouver a three-day pop culture convention in Vancouver, British Columbia, at the Vancouver Convention Centre. The Arizona Matsuri is an annual festival which celebrates Japanese culture and heritage, traditional and modern. The two-day event held at Steele Indian School Park in central Phoenix features the sights and sounds of Japan, art, crafts, music, dance and much more. The family friendly Matsuri is free to all. Japanese food and goods from over 60 vendors are available for purchase and the beer and sake garden is a great place to relax. The Arizona Matsuri was first held in 1984 and will be celebrating its 37th anniversary in February 2021.
